Couple Stalking! Mia and Ben Brewer

The fantastic ever political and controversial Sri Lankan hip hop artist Mia and family. Yes she married a billionaire's son, yadda yadda yadda. It's as if because of the nature of her music people expected her to be crawling in some hole somewhere suffering for the cause. Get real. Love her and their baby is so cute.

XY Chromosome Sundae: Ryan Gosling

So I've had a thing for actor Ryan Gosling for a few years. I think a lot of women do. I even put myself through that bad movie The Notebook because he was in it.I do think he and Rachel McAdams make a lovely couple both on and off the screen and have great chemistry.I could yap on about his striking looks and I don't think he's conventionally handsome so that's not the main thing I like about him.I do love him with a beard and slightly scruffy,it really suits him. He is ridiculously talented. I think he strikes a chord within you with his performances. He brings a depth and multidimensionality to his roles. He plays flawed, broken men so so brilliantly. There's a sensitivity there and you think about his performances afterwards. His band Dead Man's Bones is great, check them out on youtube. He's also an activist( and yes I know the celebrity activist thing is cliched but somehow seems genuine with him) and he has a dog! Hot man that loves his dog is a certified panty dropper.

Archipelago

Archipelago restaurant in London's west end looks absolutely intriguing. The cuisine is global, everything from crocodile meat to kangeroo to duck. They also serve inventive vegetarian dishes, chicken and fish.Dine under the watchful eye of golden buddhas.

Pop Africana magaine

Pop Africana is a new arts focused magazine about Africans and the African diaspora. It covers art, fashion, culture and politics.I cannot wait to get my hands on this magazine,I've dreamed of a magazine like this for Africans in diaspora. That blue eyeshadow cover is PHENOMENAL.

Art On The Brain

Artist and photographer Ju Duoqi takes food eye candy to another level, brilliant.

XY Chromosome Sundae: Pharrell Williams

Pharell is gorgeous, he's an alternative hip hop icon and I love that about him. He's not afraid to fuse rock with hip hop and experiment, he's creative and thinks outside the box which is what also makes him a great producer and why nerd have that unique sound. I think he and Chad Hugo make the perfect team. I also like Pharrell's style, he always looks great.

Fashion Spotlight: Shingai Shoniwa

Honestly this chick can do no wrong in my eyes. Just love her, she is Godess like. As well as being the talented lead singer and bassist of band The Noisettes,Shingai Shoniwa is a fashion trailblazer. Her style is afrocentric and ecclectic, she's completely fearless when it comes to fashion and is being herself. Stunning.

Culinary Delights

I remember seeing Lorraine Pascale in magazines. Now the former model who treaded catwalks with the likes of Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss has swapped modelling for baking. She runs her own business, Ella's Bakehouse in Covent Garden and they make a wonderful range of cupcakes. She also has a book out, Baking Made Easy and a tv show of the same name.I caught the show the other day and it was fun to watch. Lorraine is beautiful and so sexy on her Vespa! I love watching her riding it.I think she's a natural on camera and really likeable. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude radiates through. And that smile, Jesus... Also, How great is it to see a gorgeous black woman presenting a food show. I just hope people give the show a chance.I'm sure men up and down the country will be tuning in! Catch Baking Made Easy Mondays on BBC 2.

XY Chromosome Sundae: Tahar Rahim

Oh God, I'd like to do unmentionable things to this man, just gorgeous.

Wipes drool from mouth. Love a man in a sharp suit. Damn.

Actor Tahar Rahim was one of the success stories of 2009. He's Algerian and lives in France. He starred in the lead role in Jacques Audiard's film A Prophet which garnered him two Cesars(the french oscars),critical acclaim and instant stratospheric success. Nice to see an actor of arabic descent get that level of profile. His intense, magnetic performance blew me away. Looking forward to seeing what he does next. He is magnifique!

Destination Welcome

The Welcome Collection is on my must list this year. They do lots of interesting exhibitions around physiology, science and the body. You can immerse yourself around ideas on what it means to be human. It's a free destination for the incurably curious. That alone is a pull for me.

Revenge Of The MoonCake Vixen

I'm currently reading Marilyn Chin's book Revenge Of The Mooncake Vixen.I love the title! The novel focuses on the complex generational relationships of Chinese American women. The universe of the double happiness twins Moonie and Mei Ling is topsy turvy and skewed. A blast!

Style Spotlight: Zoe Kravitz

Yeah haters why wouldn't I be laughing? I have everything! Don't choke on your envy milkshake!

Life is unfair, not only is the sky the limit but Zoe also got to bed yummy ex boyfriend actor Ben Foster regularly! I loved them as a couple.

No doubt about it, Zoe Kravitz is gorgeous. Not as stunning as her mother but still effortlessly delicious. I'm a fan. But it's predetermined when your mother is the incredible looking Lisa Bonet and your dad is the stupendously sexy Lenny Kravitz (Does that man age????). I love Zoe's style, she has that grungy, dirty rock star style down pat. And when she actually bothers to make an effort she looks fantastic. Like her mother, she has great taste in men. Zoe is an artist in her own right, an actress and has starred in several films already. She has a couple of projects coming up including independent film Yelling To The Sky. Yell away girl, you rock.

Shue In

Elizabeth Shue is an underrated Hollywood talent. She was great in movies like Leaving Las Vegas and Greg Araki's Mysterious Skin. In fact she was so amazing in Leaving Las Vegas she deservedly received an oscar nomination. Let's not mention Piranha 3D...Obviously she's beautiful but she has interesting features rather than bland perfection.I really like her face, I don't know why. Maybe it's the strong, defined jawline thing, I find that really attractive on certain women and I don't mean Jennifer Aniston. Also Elizabeth has a kick ass physique, she's toned and very athletic looking but not mannish. I like the way she reinvented herself in the late 90's and was the come back kid.I think Elizabeth maybe needs to go the indepenent films route, get her hands on some juicy roles.Stuff that's going to showcase her range as an actress.

XY Chromosome Sundae: Dayron Robles

Celebrating yet another win.

Dash for the finish.

Oh Dayron you look distressed, let me help you out...

Have you noticed how fine Cuban male athletes are? Seriously, every time I watch a major international athletics event there's at least a couple to oggle. I really like olympic winning and record holding hurdler Dayron Robles. He's poetry in motion to watch. Cool, calm and superb over those 110 metres hurdles. Facially he's not classically handsome but he has a certain something I find palpably sexy. A quiet confidence, a self assuredness that's ridiculously attractive. He's comfortable in his own skin and that's potent. He also looks like a geek with a fantastic body. Like he should be in an economics class with his head down while one secretly lusts over that covered up physique.

Mountain Face

I love mountains, not just for their beauty and isolation but the way all the trivialities of life are reduced to nothing when you're on one. The feeling of being at peace, the clarity and connection to nature. In Cabo Verde I saw a fantastic mountain with a face, which sparked a curiousity about other mountains with faces around the world. There's a mystery about them, a wisdom and often they're steeped in legend. The image above is of the Girnar Hill Mountain in Gujarat, India. It's also part of a pilgrimage, and legend states climbing Girnar barefoot will earn a pilgrim a place in heaven.

Fear Of...

So I went to the dentist a couple of weeks back and realised why I've avoided regular visits. Dentophobia. It is terrifying sitting in that chair, I nearly choked on my saliva at the sound of the drill and the gleefully ominous expression on my dentist's face. I have a fear of heights but not a fear of flying, which may or may not be strange. I know someone who's scared of cartoons and animations. Here are some irrational fears I find hilarious and intriguing.

Geniophobia - Fear of chins
Kathisophobia - Fear of sitting down
Lachanophobia - Fear of vegetables
Logophobia - Fear of words
Phronemophobia - Fear of thinking
Peladophobia - Fear of bald people
Ophthalmophobia - Fear of opening your eyes

Watch List: Submarine

Submarine is an indie british film directed by writer, director and comedian Richard Ayoade. Most people will know him as the black dude from the IT crowd. Ayoade is quite a talent and previously directed music videos for the Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and The Yeah Yeah Yeah's. Submarine, based on the novel by Joe Dunthorne is his feature film directorial debut. It follows a fifteen year old boy whose two main objectives in life are to lose his virginity and to stop his mother from leaving his father for her dance teacher.Distribution rights for the film were bought by The Weinstein company and it's been very well received at film festivals. The film is out later this year and big things are predicted for it. It also stars the fantastic Paddy Considine, I can't wait to see it.

XY Chromosome Sundae:Sonny Bill Williams

Controversial New Zealand rugby star and boxer Sonny Bill Williams. Son of a Samoan father and kiwi mother. Beautiful looking man and I love his Samoan tatoos.

Couple Stalking!

I love Vincent Cassell and Monica Bellucci as a couple. They are sexiness personified. Monica is drop dead gorgeous and curvacious. But then she's not a bland hollywood starlet. She's italian, so maybe that explains it. People sometimes wonder how Vincent bagged a woman like Monica since he's not conventionally handsome. I don't. Have you seen his movies? He's a very charismatic actor, sexy and all man. They've also done a few movies together and they have serious chemistry. I like that he's french and she's italian, that they've managed to be successful without desperately courting hollywood and they're not your typical movie star couple. That makes them more interesting. You can catch Vincent in Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan.
